Cory Silken

Cory Silken is a yachting and luxury lifestyle photographer based in Newport and Boston. Silken regularly travels to the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and throughout the world for commercial and fine art projects. His dynamic and creative imagery appears in most of the major yachting and luxury lifestyle publications around the globe, and is published in numerous books. His clients range from local organizations to some of the top shipyards in the world. He also photographs regattas for title sponsors, and provides discrete, detail oriented service directly for superyacht owners. Beyond still photography, Silken offers full video solutions, whether working as a DP with a camera in hand or as a Producer for top marine industry filmmakers, to provide combined motion and still media solutions.

Silken is a pleasure to work with on location, and has a talented team to complete your project on time and within budget. In addition, Silken specializes at working high net worth individuals, providing flexibility and an enjoyable experience. Whether setting the mood for a brochure, capturing sponsor integration at a regatta, or making stunning images for a new book, Silken has a classy and refined creative palette to make photographs that are truly memorable.

Silken has regular exhibitions of his award-winning fine art work, and in 2012 he opened the Cory Silken Photography Gallery on Thames Street in downtown Newport. His poster editions are also distributed world-wide, through large retailers such as Ikea and Art.com, and appear as set dressings on television series and Hollywood movies.

An avid outdoor explorer, he has crewed aboard the classic  America’s Cup 12 Metre Class fleet in Newport, Rhode Island and currently enjoys racing Firefly, a wooden Herreshoff S Class boat, on Narragansett Bay. With his passion for the outdoors, Silken actively promotes environmental sustainability, and is an 11th Hour Racing Ambassador.
