Newport Healthworks x The Sailing Museum! Whether you’re preparing for long days on the water or gearing up for an active summer land-based season\, meet us at the Sailing Museum for Harborside Healthy\, a six-week workout series designed to help you build strength\, improve cardiovascular fitness\, and support functional movement. Led by physical therapist Hannah Scanlon\, PT\, DPT\, of NPT HealthWorks\, each class is thoughtfully structured to help participants move better and feel stronger. \nSessions begin with a strength circuit using bodyweight exercises\, kettlebells\, and resistance bands. Dr. Hannah will then guide progression into a cardio circuit to elevate endurance. She’ll conclude with mobility work and stretching to support recovery and long-term movement health. \nExercises are carefully coached and easily modified to accommodate a wide range of abilities\, making this class welcoming for both seasoned athletes and those simply looking to move more and feel better. \nWhether you sail\, surf\, walk the Cliff Walk\, or just want to stay active this summer\, you’ll leave each session feeling energized\, strong\, and confident in your body. Dive into the inspiration of sailing through STEM programs\, educational interactives and life perspectives from legends of the sport.  \nIt doesn’t matter if you’ve never stepped on a sailboat\, the museum’s engaging and interactive high-tech exhibits will immerse you in stories of triumph\, technology\, heartache and camaraderie. Take a fun quiz to discover the boat that best suits your personality\, create a personalized avatar\, design your own boat\, try steering with both tiller and wheel\, and work together with other visitors to “sail” a boat. You can even design a burgee to take home as a memento. \nLocated in the historic 1894 Armory – once the Press Center for the America’s Cup in the heart of Newport\, RI – the museum celebrates the rich history and vibrant culture of sailing. DESCRIPTION:New Spring collaboration alert! Newport Healthworks x The Sailing Museum! Whether you’re preparing for long days on the water or gearing up for an active summer land-based season\, meet us at the Sailing Museum for Harborside Healthy\, a six-week workout series designed to help you build strength\, improve cardiovascular fitness\, and support functional movement. Led by physical therapist Hannah Scanlon\, PT\, DPT\, of NPT HealthWorks\, each class is thoughtfully structured to help participants move better and feel stronger. \nSessions begin with a strength circuit using bodyweight exercises\, kettlebells\, and resistance bands. Dr. Hannah will then guide progression into a cardio circuit to elevate endurance. She’ll conclude with mobility work and stretching to support recovery and long-term movement health. \nExercises are carefully coached and easily modified to accommodate a wide range of abilities\, making this class welcoming for both seasoned athletes and those simply looking to move more and feel better. \nWhether you sail\, surf\, walk the Cliff Walk\, or just want to stay active this summer\, you’ll leave each session feeling energized\, strong\, and confident in your body.
