An Instant Landmark in Newport, RI

I apologize! I knew about The Sailing Museum even before it opened its doors for the first time in Newport, Rhode Island’s Armory Building earlier this summer. I fact, I was one of the lucky guests that attended the Sailing Hall of Fame induction ceremony that was held there before the exhibits were complete in 2021! But I’ve neglected to tell you all about this cool new museum that features the National Sailing Hall of Fame and America’s Cup Hall of Fame in the space that was once used as the press room for the America’s Cup until now!

The Sailing Museum features a mix of high- and low-tech interactive exhibits that share the principles of sailing, provide seasoned sailors with opportunities to test their skills and knowledge and connect new sailors with resources to get started on their sailing journey.
