Our mission is to celebrate the heritage of sailing, honor those who have shaped the sport and inspire new generations of sailor and innovators. In a welcoming and inclusive environment, the museum features interactive educational exhibits that provide real-world applications of STEAM concepts that come alive through sailing.

With your help, we achieved much in 2023:

~ We fully launched our partnership with the New England Sailing and Science Foundation (NESS). This program brings sixth graders from local Thompson Middle School to learn about science through a curriculum specifically designed around exhibits at the Museum. NESS marine educators teach lessons both during Museum visits and through eight weeks of regular in-school classroom sessions.

~ We welcomed nearly 13,500 visitors through our doors...sailors and non-sailors alike to experience our exhibits. Whether through regular Museum admission or through a specially-arranged group tour, we continue to expand our reach and attracting new audiences.
