HOST AN EVENT

Host Your Next Event at The Sailing Museum

The Sailing Museum & Hall of Fame is nestled in the heart of downtown Newport, where history whispers through cobblestone streets. It’s a place where salty breezes mingle with tales of daring voyages. We’re just a splash away from local businesses, hotels and nightlife.

Interested in arriving by boat? The museum’s location just steps from Ann Street Pier also allows guests to arrive by private vessel or harbor shuttle.

Whether you’re hosting a grand wedding gala or an intimate gathering, the Sailing Museum has you covered with capacity between 10 and 300 guests. Imagine cocktails under the stars, music echoing off sailboat masts and seated dinners with a harbor view. Schoonmaker Hall, the signature first floor exhibition space, is adorned with legends of sailing, setting the stage for maritime magic. Wedding dinners become poetic odes to love, and social workshops ignite curiosity. Your guests won’t just attend an event - they’ll be immersed in sailing’s heritage.

For smaller groups such as corporate meetings, mixers or teambuilding offsites will find privacy and exclusivity at the Sailing Museum. The Dorade Deck and Mosbacher Room on the second floor inspire creativity, allowing your group to brainstorm against a backdrop of adventure and competition. The second floor provides a cozy retreat where ideas flow like the tide and is complete with wet bar, staging areas and more.
