Rain Gutter Regatta at The Sailing Museum
Build it. Sail it. Race it.
Join us on the Elwell Deck for our Rain Gutter Regatta, a hands-on activity where young sailors design and build their own miniature sailboats from recyclable materials before racing them down our regatta course for nautical bragging rights. Ideal for children ages 2–12, this family-friendly program encourages creativity, problem-solving and a little friendly competition.
The mission: create your boat, test your design and see if you have what it takes to win the race. Whether you’re a future naval architect or just looking for a fun family activity, the Rain Gutter Regatta is a perfect way to spend a morning at the museum.
